Description
Designed and manufactured in the UK, our “h” profile strip brush can be easily mounted to an array of surfaces.
Each brush features:
- 1000mm long HDPE extruded brush back.
- “h” profile face of 40 x 30 x 22 x 20 x 22 x 50 mm.
- 5 rows of 75mm long, stiff food-grade blue bristle.
- 100% British made.
By filling our brushes into HDPE brush backs our brushes can be easily cut to size without weakening the hold of the remaining bristle.
Differences between standard, and reinforced Range strip brushes.
This brush does not have a direct 20mm wide equivalent. The 65mm stiff is similar but without the food-grade properties.
With the brush back being double the width we are able to put in five rows of bristle, using our medium bristle tuft size, as opposed to two rows in the 20mm strip brushes.
This represents a 250% increase in bristle in the 40mm wide strip brush in comparison to the 20mm wide strip brush. This creates a substantially larger brush face and an overall much heavier duty brush.
The increased brush back size also provides a more rigid brush, so If you are looking for flexibility in the brush back then please look at the 20mm range. If you do require a 20mm wide strip brush with food-grade properties please contact us about a bespoke option.
Food Grade Strip Brush Applications
Many of the materials and processes which go into making a strip brush food grade also make it ideal for working in environments which are very wet, and in particular where saltwater is present.
These strip brushes can be used in many more ways which we can list here or even think of. But there are some common applications where we can give advice.
- Anywhere where food consumables are processed and made.
- Production areas where lots of steam and moisture may be present.
- Marine, aquaculture, and fishing environments where saltwater would otherwise quickly corrode the staple wire in a normal brush – but where food-grade staple wire will persevere.
- The strong stiff bristles make these strip brushes naturally suited to use in areas such as manufacturing, waste management, industry, and agriculture.
- The stiff bristles are great for heavy cleaning, and stopping materials passing through it – such as on conveyor belts and production lines.
